Rally Sunday Recap & Announcements for Sunday, September 19 and Beyond…

Rally Sunday was a HUGE success!!!

We had 75 sign-ups for the various ministries at the Church of the Holy Communion.  This is truly a blessing from our Lord and Savior.  The fact that you responded with such enthusiasm to the 18 ministries that were set up speaks volumes for the changes that we are seeing and changes to come in our reaching out to those outside our parish, and at the same time, reaching inward to help each other.  Thank you to all who participated in all of the different ways: set-up and take-down, food preparations, making of the ministry boards, signing up…

For those who participated in the drawing for the gift baskets, here are the results:

Dear Church of the Holy Communion Family,

There are three exciting opportunities for us as members of this congregation and Diocese in which to participate.

The first opportunity is a historic one. The Diocese is collecting monies from all congregations in order to contribute to our Bishop-Elect Ruth Woodliff-Stanley to help with the purchases of vestments and other symbols of the Office of Bishop.  Church of the Holy Communion is pooling together donations and will send one check from our church family. If you would like to give to this Gift please make note of “Bishop’s Gift” on your check or let Stephanie (office@holycomm.org or 843-722-2024) know you have made a gift online using the “miscellaneous” fund.  The deadline is September 30.

The second opportunity is to celebrate the marriage of Tierrhane, our choir director, and Branden as they begin their married life together as Tierrhane and Branden Goodwin. CHC is gathering donations to pool together a gift for them. If you would like to give to their “gift” you may send a check to the church office with “wedding gift” on the memo line or make a donation online using the “miscellaneous” fund and let Stephanie know this entry has been made. (office@holycomm.org or 843-722-2024).  The deadline is September 30.

Finally, there is an opportunity for the Church of the Holy Communion to participate in the Bishop Consecration. The Diocesan Transition Committee is asking for volunteers to assist on the day of her consecration, October 2. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Fr. Jeff for more information (fatherjeff@holycomm.org or 843-372-9092).

Thank you all for your kind consideration and generosity of these opportunities.
