Our Mission

Commission

Our commission, given in the Summary of the Law, is to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, with all our soul, and with all our mind. We shall also love our neighbor as ourselves.

Mission

The mission of the Church and of the Church of the Holy Communion is to restore all people to unity with God and with each other in Christ, as stated in the Anglican Service Book.

The ministers of this mission are the laypersons, deacons, and priests in our Parish, the bishops of our Diocese, and The Episcopal Church as part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

Guiding Principles

The Church of the Holy Communion…

  • is a church where worship experiences inspire, engage, and enrich our spiritual lives, as reflected in the traditions of Anglo-Catholic worship.
  • strives for educational experiences and practices which enhance the lives of its members
  • emphasizes diversity and living respectfully, restoratively, and in peace with one another.
  • supports itself through the generous offerings of time, tithes, gifts, and services of its members.
