The Second Sunday in Advent
Our Supply Priest is the Rev. Fr. Ross Tortora, he will be celebrating the Eucharist with us at both the 8:00 AM and the 10:00 AM Services.
A Message from our Sr. Warden, Sherry Royster:
I am writing to you today to thank you. and want you to know how grateful I am for your continued support and understanding. I know you have concerns with changes during mass. Father Fred is learning and will occasionally add or miss something. I know this can be disruptive, but he is doing his best to accommodate the way we celebrate.
There will be a Sunday here and there that he will not be available to us. This happened a couple of weeks ago and will happen this coming Sunday. Unfortunately for us, there are few priests that are willing to celebrate mass with us due to being unfamiliar with our liturgy. This means we will have to adjust to their comfort level.
This Sunday, Father Ross Tortora will be our celebrant for both masses. He is doing a said Rite I from the Book of Common Prayer. Kim has put directional notes in the bulletin to help us. Please welcome him and give him your appreciation for being with us.
We have been in transition for nearing two years, and I know this has been difficult. Our future is exciting and concerning at the same time. With change comes reservations of the unknown. Let’s do our best to keep an open mind and stay positive.
