Week #3 on Saturday, April 5th was a glorious Spring day in the outdoor realm of our beautiful churchyard!
A very successful 3 hours with our Garden Leader, Joy Hume, at the helm! It began with a light breakfast and the workers kept coming asking for tasks to tackle from the Zones on the Lenten Project Board for our Garden
– at the end of the morning our grounds became more and more beautiful, ending with a joint lunch with our Choir, so enjoyable!
My thanks go to all who shared in this effort:
Joy, Corey, David, Sherry, Bill, Tricia, Charles, Francie, Mary Neal, Robert, Mark, Christine and Diane!
You all were invaluable troopers, I mean, gardeners/ landscapers!!!
Note: this last Saturday, April 12th will begin again at 8:30am with light breakfast and coffee and juice, followed by outdoor work, culminating at noon with a lunch of subs, chips, and beverages!
A note from Joy:
Please join us on Saturday, April 12 to work outside to prepare our grounds for Easter. We will be concentrating our efforts on the Garth and the front entrance to the church. Much was accomplished last Saturday by 14 members who worked very hard. Come to help finish the work to make our grounds beautiful for Easter. We will have a light breakfast at 8:30 and start working at 9:00. Lunch will be served at noon. Bring gloves, rakes, clippers, loppers, and blowers (electric or gas-powered), and be prepared for fellowship and fresh air.
Again, we hope to see you at 8:30 am if you want a breakfast snack and coffee/juice….and stay for your “reward lunch”!
Laurie Palmer, Sr. Warden
