Such a happy day!
We recognized and celebrated McCartney Royster! A beloved son of the Church of the Holy Communion.
McCartney started serving as boat boy at the age of 5. At 8 years old, he served as crucifer and thurifer at 9. McCartney has continued to serve faithfully. He has been active in Sunday school and youth group.
Along with his Boy Scout troop, McCartney has helped with our food pantry. Additionally, the Church of the Holy Communion was where he put his efforts for his Boy Scout Eagle project, as he painted and numbered the spaces for our parking lot!
As an acolyte, McCartney has served at most of the weddings held at CHC in the last 13 years, including Madison & Boyd Richardson’s (pictured here).
McCartney will be graduating from the Charleston Charter School for Math and Science and will be attending St. Andrew’s University in Laurinburg, NC on a soccer scholarship. McCartney, we are so thankful for your ministry among us and so proud of you and your many accomplishments! We send you off with prayers and well wishes for your continued success and a very bright future!
