A Story:
Once upon a time, there was a grandmama who took her grandchildren to church. The children were very energetic and interested in all of the things. They went from pew to pew to see what was there, same as all of the other pews -books. They read stories, sometimes out loud. They searched through grandma’s purse for treasures.
This isn’t the first time they’ve been to church… their grandma brings them most Sundays. This particular Sunday the children were extra energetic and kept grandma on her toes. They even visited the children’s corner several times… all the while being as quiet as could be.
The grandma grew a little weary and thought “I wonder if this is even worth it?” Referring to bringing the grandchildren and the extra work it took to keep them in church and not be a distraction to others…
Jesus tells us to “bring the little children”, it is worth it.
Good job, Grandma!
Moms and Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas, keep bringing the children! It is ALWAYS worth it.
Children in church is a blessing to us all.
