A Report from Our Day School Director

Day School Report

SOS: Several Opportunities to Support your day school ministry…

Pray for the children, their families, the faculty and staff, and the genuine success of the school’s mission.

Consider Donating to one of the below:

Volunteer! We need volunteers off and on throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering and/or what it entails please contact me.

Wholesome Snacks are needed every day. Most often we offer fruit (seasonal) and crunchy food (like veggie straws/pretzels/etc.). Not only does a snack satisfy tiny tummies it also provides independence in the child. They learn to use a scoop or tongs counting out the pieces, pour water, carry to the table, sit, enjoy, and clean the dishes used and the space afterward preparing for the next friend to enjoy their snack.

Montessori Materials make up most of the class environments. These range from simple concepts to detailed intricate items.

Playground: the playground is an important area for the children. It’s where they use their bodies in big movements running, climbing, and imagining. The structure is 20+ years old and continuously needs repair and was constructed for older children. We would like to replace it with a smaller one more appropriate to the needs of smaller children. Natural elements such as tree stumps, balance beams, and climbing walls are age appropriate and invite gross motor movement and imagination.

Everyday Supplies: baby wipes, colored pencils, glue, paint, seasonal craft items (pumpkins, apples, small flower pots), easel paper, spray bottles for cleaning, bleach, Lysol…

Prayers for the success of the school. We cannot exist without prayers and support. This fall will begin our 12th year. The best is yet to come!
