The Church of the Holy Communion 2025 Lenten Project
“Preparing Our House for Easter…and beyond!”
We accomplished all that we had hoped to accomplish in preparing our church ready for Easter…it truly is all sparkly and clean!
Some have asked “why do this when we have a cleaning service?” And to answer, because there was so much more to spruce, go through, organize and make ready for this season’s glorious new beginning…simply put, because we can and should, because we love COHC…and it brings us all together to share in the joy in doing so. I urge all of you to visit the bulletin board in the Parish Hall to see what the worker bees accomplished – you will be amazed.
And to this I thank those that gave of their time (and energies!) last Saturday morning, enjoyed a little breakfast at 8:30 followed by a Muffuletta sandwich lunch at noon, well earned!! Thank you to Sherry, Joy, Jan, Francie, Charles, Tricia, and Robert, you are all true stewards of the Lenten Project Supreme!
And now, I turn the next 2 Lenten Project Saturdays – April 5th and April 12th, 2025 to our illustrious Master Gardener, Joy Hume. She is taking us to the outside of our beautiful church for a little sprucing up of our grounds, including the Garth…in this glorious Spring weather it will be divine and fun…
Note: I will have coffee and fresh Breakfast Lemon Berry Bread and coffee for all at 8:30 to be followed by outdoor work, culminating in a well earned lunch at noon.
A note from Joy:
We will move our “Lenten Project” efforts outside for the next (and last) 2 weeks. Please join us as we spruce up the parking lot, sidewalks, the Garth, the lawn, walkways and shrubs in front (and around) the church.
If you can, and have, a blower, clippers, loppers, rakes, and GLOVES! Please bring along…come for an hour or 3! Or come to lend a helping hand or just give ringside support!
Again, we hope to see you at 8:30 am if you want a breakfast snack and coffee and stay for your “reward lunch”!
Laurie Palmer, Sr. Warden
