A message from our Sr. Warden, Sherry Royster

Dear Friends;
          I am very pleased to inform you that we have found our new rector.  This has come after months of searching, interviewing, and much prayer.  It was not an easy process nor one we took lightly.
          Our decision was based on his qualifications, reverence, faith, and genuine personality.
          With that being said, I am happy to announce that the vestry unanimously elected to call Jordan Trendelman.  As you may recall, he is a seminarian at The University of the South in Sewanee, TN. He is due to graduate in May and will be ordained by Bishop Doug Sparks, Bishop of Northern Indiana, Jordan’s home diocese, to the diaconate in December and to the priesthood in June of 2025.
          Jordan and his wife Christina are very excited to move to Charleston and get to know our parish and our city.
          Father Fred Thompson has very graciously agreed to be our supply priest until Jordan arrives.
Let’s remain steadfast in prayer and rejoice that a return to normalcy is upon us.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me or a vestry member with any thoughts or concerns.
Blessings,
Sherry Royster
Sr. Warden

Dearest Church of the Holy Communion;
Peace and blessings to you on this the beginning of yet another Advent
season. I cannot think of a more glorious way to celebrate a new
liturgical year than to enter into this new ministry with you, the faithful of
Holy Communion. Know that I am immensely grateful to God for the giftof your confidence in calling me as your future rector. It will be difficult to
enter into the reflective penitence of the Advent season, when my heart
is so overwhelmed with joy at the prospect of our future service together.
You will all continue to be in my prayers as I wait in anticipation of the
next time I am able to worship with you in person.
Yours faithfully,
Jordan
