A message from Fr. Tim Hushion

The Rev. Fr. Timothy V. Hushion

To the Congregation of the Church of the Holy Communion,

Solemnly and respectfully I am letting you all know that on 1 May 2024 I tendered my resignation to the Vestry.

I have reached the point in my life journey that I recognize the peak of my abilities is something in the past and not in the future. The limitations of my age are only going to increase and I do not want Holy Communion to suffer.

I can with confidence and faith, say that I see an awakening in the enthusiasm and prospects for the future of Holy Communion. A new Renaissance is on the horizon. Do not lose faith! Continue to pray_ God will honor it.

I truly love you all and have never felt a closer connection to a congregation than I have with you all. I have often mentioned to my wife Marcie that I wish I were younger so that I could be with you all for a great length of time.

I have notified the Diocese and I feel sure they will work hard in helping you to find a permanent and younger Rector.

In the meantime, the Rev. Jerry Jellico will be providing Spiritual leadership and alongside the Vestry will continue on that trajectory that we have been able to successfully bring about during my tenure.

May God bless and keep you,

Fr. Tim Hushion

From Sherry Royster, Sr. Warden:

I understand this may come as a surprise to many of you, but this has been weighing on his mind for some time.  That said, I ask all of you to respect his wishes and send our blessings to him and Marcie through kind words and prayer.

This enters us, once again, into a transitional period.  I’ve already heard from Canon Linder and he is ready to work with us as we begin the search for a suitable replacement.

I ask you all for your support, prayers, kind words and most importantly, your patience during this time.  Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, suggestions and needs.  I can be reached at 843-870-9333 or sherryroyster@gmail.com

Blessings,

Sherry Royster,

Sr Warden
