Kanuga 2010: Connecting the Dots...with Fr. Vincent Tobin, OSB. Those who were blessed to attend last year's retreat will remember Fr. Vincent as a superb speaker. We are thrilled that he will join us again this year. As has been our tradition, Fr. Vincent will offer an introductory meditation on Friday evening, two talks on Saturday, and will preach at the morning mass on Sunday. In addition, there will be children and youth events, as well as childcare for the youngest children. And of course, our own FRANK ROYSTER and his band will be on hand for Saturday' evening's entertainment. So what ‘s up with the theme, "Connecting the Dots..."? Well, to begin with, we live in a parish that is spread out over three counties and 20 zip codes. We need opportunities to connect, to strengthen relationships, to grow as the Body of Christ. And furthermore, we too often come to theology as something to understand. We hear sermons and scripture and the creeds, and we need to know what difference it makes in our lives. We need to connect the dots between Catholic Faith and Catholic practice. We need to know what God desires us to do and be. We need to discover the holy apostolate to which we are each called. Sound like a worthwhile adventure? We believe it will indeed be! You may register online or by looking for Patricia Henley and her committee each Sunday after mass.
